Vintage Bazaar!!

Max & Chloe Vintage literally had the best weekend that I could of asked for! No joke, the last few weeks have been very very chaotic and stress ridden. This weekend was the relief I had been waiting for. It was finally time for the Vintage Bazaar. The Vintage Bazaar was a huge sale of vintage clothing and antiques arranged by two lovely women, Katherine and Libby. They approached me a few months ago when I was selling at Heaven's Gallery. I said sure not knowing really what to expect or what lied ahead. It was fantastic!! So many talented and beautiful Chicago antique and vintage clothing dealers.

Some old faces from way back when and some exciting new friends. Customers were a dream clientele for a vintage seller. Hopefully some of these stylish ladies will grace the pages of this blog soon! These lovely vintage gals were not afraid to get in there and try all my clothing on and really have fun with it!

I couldn't manage to step away from my booth for too long:( It was simply too bananas to get away and shop with all the other vendors. From what I saw there was a lot of shopping I could have done too. There will be a next time though, hopefully soon. I however did manage to scoop up a lovely 1940's navy lace dress from Tessaboo Vintage. Check out the adorable Tess here! I will hopefully have an outfit post tomorrow wearing this amazing dress.

Another favorite Chicago gal, Isa from Chicago Looks, stopped by. And as per usual, brought some sunshine with her. Such a great stylish girl! Love it when I get to see her:)

Here are some fun photos from this weekend!!

My first Customer!!
Isa took some photos of me for her blog of course. She makes me giggle too hard every time!!

Caitlin and James from the adorable shop Nice.
Visit her blog here.
I used to work with Caitlin at Anthropologie about 4 or 5 years ago. We had not seen each other since then, and much to my surprise, she had a booth right across from mine! We both have gone the Vintage/etsy way since Anthro. Such a small world!! Her and her shop are soooo cute:)

James!! He's so sweet, he brought me my favorite latte:)

A special thank you to Kat, James, Jor, Brian, Curt, Caitlin, Emmi and all the other special people for stopping by and brightening up the weekend even more!!

Owl vs. Dove

Today was one of those days where nothing really happened but it was fantastic! First, I met one of my cute little customers who lived close by to deliver her 40's dress. I love meeting Max & Chloe Vintage customers, I wish more girls would send me pictures of their purchases. Everyone always have such different variations of how they wear vintage. It's inspiring. After that, I headed out to get my hair done and then on to have lunch and some qt with my roomie Ash. Coffee, chit chat and a walk outside makes for a lovely day off! Ash has great personal style so I had to make sure to bring my camera so we could get in a few shots along the way. NOt to mention, we met this adorable little kitty along the way!

When I got home I watched my new favorite show, Kell on Earth. Have you seen this? Kelly Cutrone is a freakin genius. Kelly is the head of and owner of People's Reveloution. I always have known that I wanted to be involved in Fashion in some way shape or form and this show just increases my eagerness! There are so many different levels of the fashion industry. And this show shows a small behind the scene look at the PR side of it. It feels real, not like most crap reality tv thats out there now, just people doing their job and how dirty and cut throat fashion it is. Now Kelly Cutrone has her book out, If you have to cry go outside (and other things your mother didn't tell you), and I can't wait to begin reading it.

On another note don't forget to come and visit Max & Chloe Vintage at the Vintage Bazaar this Saturday, Feb 27th from 12 to 5pm!! 4740 N. Western, Chicago. Info found here!

Weekend Wonder

Hectic is the only way to describe my past week. So I felt like this weekend should be a time of gathering myself and focus. I set off on Friday morning to achieve this. Estate sales were all I had on the brain. I knew above everything else I had to take the time to get myself up early (even though my Thursday turned into a late night dance party). I awoke tired eyed and a little worn out from the night before but I forced myself outta bed and began my search for new and wonderful items for myself and Max & Chloe. And I gotta tell ya, I achieved this and much more. Latte in hand, I set out for the suburban Chicago area and began my adventure.

I went to the most lovely homes full of stories and much loved items that were begging me to take them home. A vintage Singer sewing machine, trimmings, paintings, clothing, accessories and many many books. Oh, and my favorite, jewelry, tons and tons of vintage jewels. I'm not sure what goodies I will be keeping but I can say some loved ones will be getting some amazing gifts soon!

One of the little towns I stopped in was Lockport Illinois. Cute, quaint and I had to take a few photos. So that is what I will leave you with tonight. But soon, a sneak peak of all the loveliness I picked up that day. Oh, and my spring and summer wardrobe inspiration...

Null....

Nothing really to post about today. I worked all day, and got home to clean and organize my closet. Goodness what a huge mess!! So needless to say I am a little worn out. Pictures will come soon. In the mean time, I did manage to post a couple of goodies on Max & Chloe Vintage tonight.

Now, sleepy time!

*Never mind what anybody else done*

Another day off not spent doing what was needed. My body must have been completely worn out because I slept through all four of my alarms! Woke up 2 hours later realizing there went my morning. Mornings are what I look forward to the most on my day off! The morning coffee, rushing to the thrift store before others to get the best picks, running any other little errands and then usually followed by brunch or lunch with a friend. Well not today. So I guess I will have to try and fit it all in on my next day off. Along with shopping for some much needed gifts I need to give in the next few weeks. So much to do and I need to not be lazy and slack off at all this month. I also am in desperate need of routinely taking outfit pictures to post on here.

Now that I have launched the new logo, there are many exciting things taking place with Max & Chloe Vintage. I can't tell you everything but something you will have to look forward to is an amazing editorial shoot. I won't tell ya too much other than it will be done by two amazing Chicago creative forces, Kyle La Mere from Ishootrockstars and Nick Santore from Rubbish. I'm so very very excited I can't hardly stand it!! Some news articles should be dropping soon as well. Stay Tuned!!

As for what I actually did accomplish today, new listings!!

New Look, New Beginning!

My family is amazing! Every sibling I have amazes me more and more. Artistic, creative and thoughtful are probably the best words I can use to describe each of them! Recently, I had asked my brother Jon to help me with a design for a new logo. Jon has the most spectacular and breath taking vision. So I knew whatever he would create for me I would love without a doubt! All I simply asked for was a logo that was simple and looked like something from the 1920's/1930's. Ask and you shall receive. He went above and beyond to give me something far more fantastic than I imagined. I uploaded the photo of my new logo and I got instant goosebumps. It looked as if I was watching the opening to a dark and gorgeous silent film. So get ready to be blown away! Here it is, the new Max & Chloe Vintage!!

To my Brother Jon,
I thank you and your wonderful mind. I love you!!
