Raining in Chicago

So tonight was supposed to be a fun outfit post. Lake front or park but Chicago had something else in mind. Rain. Pouring rain. So change of plans, it's movie night. And what better movie to watch then the 1952 classic, Singin' in the Rain! "Oh what a glorious feeling...I'm happy again!"

The dancing, the singing, the love and cute little Debbie Reynolds! The hilarious Lina Lamont, her voice alone makes me laugh out loud. Don Lockwood, played by Gene Kelly, is such a dreamy character. Cosmo Brown, the funny sidekick, has, I think some of the best dance moves ever! This movie gives a fantastic humorous depiction of Hollywood. The story takes place in the 30's and tells us the story of silent films transitioning over to "talkies".

And my personal favorite part, wardrobe. The refinement of  hair and make up. The hairpieces were simply gorgeous! Every gown and dress had beautiful beadwork, flowing chiffon and sequins. Just wonderful!
