Finally I had a day of peace and quiet with not a lot on my plate. I spent today running errands (which I love) and meeting up with friends. I have had busy weekends for the past month. As you know, I have had vintage sale after vintage sale. This weekend was the Debonair Vintage Sale put together by one of my fav vintage chicago gals, Jillian from Joules Jewels Vintage. And Friday was the monthly Pilsen Art and Vintage Night where galleries and vintage shops stay open til midnight. It was a blast!! There is nothing more that I look forward too than doing theses sales, despite how much work they are. I shop way too much every month, but can you blame me??? There are just too many awesome vintage shops here to hold back.
I have been meaning to post some of the new goodies I have gotten recently. Here are just a few and I'm afraid this will have to be a two parter. I have gone way way overboard the past few weeks, I have to split it up into two blog posts.
Gorgeous chiffon 1950's floral dress from Knee Deep Vintage. I adore this store and Carlos, one of the fabulous owners, is amazing and always keeps me dressed impeccably:) Love him!!
Another Knee Deep find:)
**shoes are from a recent estate sale, new fav pair!!
And I save the best for last, late 30's/early 40's gorgeous day dress with polka dots, lace and floral buttons. And a beautiful hair piece, satin pink ribbon with brown netting. All bought at Deliciously Vintage, 1747 N. Halsted, such a great experience! The owner, Law, really knows how to interact with their clientele, I was there for 2 hours!! This is my new go to outfit:)
**Shoes, Ferragamo, estate sale**
Also, do me a favor please!! Do I keep these two items?? Honest opinions needed asap!!
This skirt, adorable swan print...what do we think? Keep...sell...hmmm.
And then there is this wonderful 1950's plaid dress. I originally bought it for my friend Jenny but it didn't work out. So now the question is do I keep it??

Love the skirt, keep
ReplyDeletethe dress isn't that special to where you couldn't replace it down the road if you choose, let it go.
are ya sure? I'm just so iffy bout the skirt....
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning, I would say keep the dress. You have to enjoy some of your treasures yourself!
ReplyDeleteI would sell both the skirt and dress. The fit of the dress is really lovely, but I don't think it's as special as some of the dresses you post (like that 30's/40's polka dot dress! *swoon*). And for whatever reason, the skirt just doesn't wow me like most of your clothes do! Your outfits always strike me as so classy and effortless, and the skirt just doesn't quite fit the bill for me.
ReplyDeleteOk, I am, lets just say over 30 and my daughter and her friend are both 15 and we all agreed, the skirt should go and keep the dress.
ReplyDeletethat 1930s dress is the absolute best!
ReplyDeleteand i JUST sold that first dress in violet,
i really think it was the same dress!
Sell the skirt, keep the dress.
ReplyDeleteKEEP THE DRESS!
